Scoil Ide is a primary school in Corbally, Limerick. It was opened in 1964 and has been catering for boys and girls in the Corbally area and beyond ever since. Growth and learning are the summation of all we try to do with the children who are entrusted to our care. We aim to do the very best we can for every child who comes into our school, to maximise their talents and potential, to give them a solid grounding in basic academic work and to open their eyes and minds to the world that awaits them.
In recent years, as part of an ever growing STEAM and makers focus, stop motion, animation and filmmaking have become embedded in our project work and culture. The Scoil Ide Film Festival was established in 2022 and has gone from strength to strength since its inception.
Our projection space offers an opportunity to our parents, the wider local community and the international filmmaking community to become part of the Scoil Ide Film Festival. Projection events showcasing international and Scoil Ide made films launch our festival and celebrate filmmakers and their art.
