Call for films 2024

We invite filmmakers and researchers from all over the world to submit their movies on the highlighted topic of “The role of peace for sustainable communities” and to share with our audience your work. Like in previous years, Heritales will accept filmmakers of different backgrounds, working in natural, historical, archaeological,  anthropological, and social studies of past, present and future sites, cultures, and objects.

Authors are required to submit their films before the 30th of April 2024 15th of May 2024.

Starting from the 15th June 2024 until the 15th of September 2024 we will start to show the selected films.

On the 21st of September 2024, we will celebrate with an award ceremony with the winners possibly organizing a 3-day residency for all the directors of the selected films.

We will contact the selected authors to confirm his/her participation in the final ceremony by the 15th of July 2024.

Rules for participating at the competition are described on the Filmfreeway platform, there will be 4 categories:

  • Short documentary (up to 20 min)
  • Medium documentary (up to 40 Min)
  • Long documentary (above 40 min)
  • Animation (short films below 30 min)

The jury will take into consideration the cost of the production of the films. This is to establish fair judgment conditions between all the submitted works.
