Catarina Moura

Catarina is an Ecosystem Ecologist with a joint Ph.D. degree in Biology/Certificate in Ecology from Duke University (USA) and a B.Sc. degree in Biology from the University of Coimbra (Portugal). Her research work has focused on the impacts of climate change factors and land-use changes on tree physiology, genomics and biogeochemical cycling in temperate forests and Mediterranean ecosystems like the Montados in Southern Portugal. Catarina has a strong international experience (multiple years at Duke University, UC-Berkeley and Max-Planck Institute of Biogeochemistry), several conference presentations awards and a keen interest in science communication and dissemination. She is currently a researcher of the Centre for Functional Ecology – Science for the Planet and the People and the UNESCO Chair on Biodiversity Safeguard for Sustainable Development at the University of Coimbra, where she coordinates a course on Literacy for the Environment and Sustainability, runs the webinar series “Science and Society for Sustainability” and participates in outreach sessions about environmental topics and sustainability..

Advisor to the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage. Graduated and PhD in Anthropology (Politics and Images of Culture and Museology) from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL-FCSH). Master in museology and heritage (UNL-FCSH). She programmed, installed and directed the Municipal Museum of Ourém (2009-2019), headed the culture division in the municipalities of Ourém (2009-2019) and Leiria (2019-2020). Researcher at the Center for Research in Anthropology (CRIA). She participates in research, programming and cultural mediation projects within heritage and museum contexts.
Teresa Pacheco Albino

Licenciada em Antropologia Cultural pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa e Mestre em Relações Interculturais. É Responsável pela Área de Classificação do Património Imóvel e Móvel Nacional e pelo Inventário Nacional do Património Imaterial da Direção-Geral do Património Cultural e membro do Comité Executivo de Instalação do Museu Nacional Resistência e Liberdade na Fortaleza de Peniche.
Na Direção Geral do Património Cultural tem desenvolvido atividade técnica e científica nas áreas da credenciação de novas unidades museológicas, do património imaterial e na produção de exposições e eventos.
No Instituto de Investigação Científica Tropical exerceu vários cargos e desenvolveu vários projetos editoriais e expositivos sobre a História da Ciência e dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento do Milénio.
Iniciou a sua atividade profissional em 1983 no Museu Nacional de Etnologia onde desenvolveu investigação em educação intercultural, etnomuseologia e em migração e estudos de género em países africanos de língua portuguesa.

Marcia Vilarigues

Vilarigues works in the field of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in the area of Technical Art History and Materials Degradation. Her research motivation focus on the preservation of our material cultural history and on enriching the knowledge of our shared past through the history of historical objects. Since 2011, she is the Director of the Research Unit VICARTE (Vidro e Cerâmica para as Artes: Glass and Ceramic for the Arts, www.vicarte.org). VICARTE is devoted to trans-disciplinary research applied to glass and ceramics, focusing on where art and science intersect, and stimulating the sharing of knowledge, experiences and methodologies. She is also the coordinator of the Master in Glass Art and Science, a two-year course of study that leads students through both the scientific and artistic aspects of what makes glass the special state of matter that it is, and simultaneously offers students time, space, tools and experience in most traditional and innovative glassmaking techniques. Currently, at the national level she is regarded as a leader in research for historic glass and stained glass, and my work is recognized by the scientific community worldwide.

Fernando Quintas

Pintor e Professor Auxiliar da Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa. Possui uma licenciatura e doutoramento em Pintura pela FBAUL, especializando-se em Vidro e Vitral. Desde 1991 tem participado em várias exposições coletivas e individuais, tendo recebido prémios e distinções em pintura e desenho. Participou, em Portugal e no exterior, em diversos workshops sobre a arte do vidro, tendo apresentado os resultados das suas experiencias de investigação, letivas e artísticas, em palestras e conferências em Portugal, França, Itália, Alemanha, Reino Unido Grécia e Tunísia. É um dos membros fundadores da Unidade de Investigação Vicarte “Vidro e Cerâmica para as Artes” (www.vicarte.org) e foi presidente da APV, Associação Portuguesa do Vidro, de 2006 a 2009. Concebeu e realizou a escultura-troféu do prémio APOM (Associação Portuguesa de Museologia) 2017, 2018 e 2019. Frequentou a licenciatura em arquitectura da Universidade Lusíada (Lisboa) entre 1996 e 2000.
